STEM Showdown Field Trip – September 2023

Students from Monte del Sol’s STEM club joined peers from middle schools and high schools across Northern New Mexico to participate in the annual STEM Showdown, hosted by the New Mexico Forest and Watershed Restoration Institute at Highlands University.
The STEM Showdown is run in partnership with Math, Engineering, Science Achievement, or MESA, and includes lessons in soil science, water quality, restoration, and geology, among many other subjects. Lessons take place at Storrie Lake State Park.

Native American Regions Gallery

Middle School Humanities teacher, Margarita Blanco and her students held a show in the courtyard of her student’s posters and presentations of Native Americans Region. Her history students worked really hard on these, and had fun too!
