Other Staff

Kitchen

Are you interested in working in a school kitchen that wants to contribute to young people’s lives? Small Santa Fe Charter School seeks an innovative and educationally minded kitchen coordinator to support daily food service and our dual credit culinary arts classes.

The kitchen staff works collaboratively in a small team and with the culinary arts teacher to assist with menus, food prep, coordinate orders, cleaning protocols, and production schedules. Meals require meeting local, state, and federal guidelines for NSLP, including production sheets, meal count, edit checks, and menus, meeting state guidelines for safety and sanitation, and producing nutritious meals with vegetarian options following the NSLP guidelines for 250 students for lunch and an average of 50 breakfasts daily.

We believe the relationship between nutrition and well-prepared food contributes to the school as a learning community, leading to good health habits and more focused learning. Our students’ involvement in a hydroponic growing dome and outdoor vegetable and herb gardens increased their willingness to try new foods made with what they have grown. We have a thriving sustainability program and welcome a team member who would like to encourage this in our school community.

Join the Monte del Sol family! Our school pillars are sustainability, community, arts integration, and global literacy.

Excellent benefits package, paid holidays, and vacation time.
